    Stumble on acceleration solved

I've been having problems with stumbling on acceleration for some time now. I've run diagnostics checks and they would come back 1st O2 sensor. I changed the O2 sensor, installed new plugs, installed new PCV valve, ran plenty of injector and fuel system cleaner through the engine and still a hard stumble and rough idle. I finally checked the MAF sensor and it was fried (this never came up on the diagnostics check, but would throw the CEL). One of the sensors was crusted black.

So a break down for this long post...

When you have stumble on acceleration:
    - Check your MAF sensor first
    - Check/replace plugs
    - Check/replace PCV valve
    - Check/replace O2 sensors (don't do this if you don't have to, it's a difficult procedure for the O2 sensor before the cat)
    - Run fuel system cleaner through your engine

I had a slight stumble on acceleration that I cured with a thorough cleaning of the throttle body. After 40Kmi it needed it.

I dread the day I start getting the amber light that looks like an engine. They should replace it with one that looks like a dollar sign. "Check Engine, Empty Wallet".

I agree with the dollar sign! The MAF cost me $180. O2 sensor $145.

Cracked in half?! Was that before or after you were boosted?

Ya fuel cleaner is added to a full tank of gas.

I think it's best to add the cleaner to a near empty tank right before the fill up ... at the gas station ... so it mixes...

    just to be clear...
