stock cd player crapped out

    r u sure it's not the cd(s)...i take really crappy care of my cd's. In some cd players they work and in others it says error. If you're like me...find a great CD in shape...like no scratches what so ever and try that. If your cds are in great condition...then it's time to look for a new head unit.

    stock cd player crapped out

    i have an 01 prizm with the stock radio. when i put a cd in you can here the lazer trying to read the cd but nothing happens. then a few seconds later it says err and spits the cd out. i know the cd's work and i've tryed an automotive cd cleaner but it still doesnt work. is there a reset or something i can do to fix it.

    no, it's probably dead. i have a Pioneer deck that's for sale for like $75 if you want it...i just have to find it. it's got a little better output than the stock deck, and cost around $200 when new 2 years ago. it's still in great shape, too. PM me if you're interested.
