I think you better not drive with CAI in heavy snow area since the snow might stick to the filter and block the air.
But seriously, 300 inches snow is crazy! That's like 25ft of snow!

Response to rollatuner (airbox to CAI)

It's a '98 VE (nothing fancy), I'm just trying to think of ways to get some performance gains without spending alot of money. Much like the "hot rodders" of old who would trick out there cars by modifying pre-existing parts. Plus with all the snow up here it doesn't help either. Any help would be cool!

Stock air box into a CAI?

I'm wondering is it possible to keep the factory air box and "gut" the air tube and any other restrictive elements and put in something like a K&N air filter to acheive something like a CAI? I live in N. Michigan and get a lot of snow (over 300 in.) in winter so I'm wondering if snow will matter in a CAI?

    good idy.

you could run the cai in the summer months , but i would switch to the ram in the winter.

but then again , corollas already have a decent cold air type of intake , just drop in a k&n filter. and run it year round.
