    Steering wheel.

Just thinking here. However if I decide to change out my wheel. Has anyone done this ? Thought for sure Vamp would of, but didnt see anything. Just curious what I would be getting into. Also I need to find out if its legal to remove the airbag. I keep hearing different things as its legal and then no it wont pass safety ?

    yes

legality varies from state to state. Also your insurance company may choose to drop your covage.

you just need a star screwdriver bit to remove the airbag and a ratchet to remove the center bolt for the steering wheel itself. Then just pull the wheel straight out.

i think if ur using ur car everytime, it would be a bad idea to have a steering wheel without airbag. ur gonna have to be carefull. just my two cents....

if i am correct, old cars dont have airbags on their steering wheels, so i believe its legal to have no airbag steering wheels in all states

it's likely as legal as it is to put an older motor in a newer car (in other words, it likely isn't).

it all depends on if your car came factory equipped with airbags or not.

I would be scared to remove a steering wheel(without proper step by step instructions) with airbag for the fear that it will activate and deploy! Ouch! :D

Unplug the battery and wait a good half an hour or longer if you're paranoid. LOL :D

My hell... Dont turn the key on. The airbags have no power until the key is switched on. Look at your diagram.

there's still a current going through the car, however, and it's recommended to disconnect the battery.
