    steering wheel response

Someone ran into my car when I barely had it. The shop replaced the steering rack and I also replaced the stock steel wheels with some alloy wheels. I noticed two things and wonder if they are normal.

Steering wheel seems highly sensitive meaning large rotation relative to small direction change. It is almost a half turn of the steering wheel to turn a 90 degress corner or into a freeway turn.

Recently after rotating the tires the car would track opposite directions if the two front tires are swapped across. For example, the car needs left steering wheel correction to keep going straight but needs the opposite if the front left and right tires are swapped.

    Are these normal?

    for the faster steering response...

The corolla XRS has a quicker steering box, the folks at the shop may have given you that instead of the standard one.

As for the other stuff...differences in tire diameter could be the cause. There could also be problems with the suspension being damaged and the geometry being off...
