    status of the turbo

As some of you know, I'm building a turbo kit for an 03 rolla. I now have all the parts except 1. I just bought this intercooler
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...6983&ed=1075500855&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOT:MT:3

This is the turbo kit i bought:

This is the fuel controller i bought:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42604&item=2451422791

    I bought this guage pillar:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=46100&item=2450237382

I bought this engine oil/tranny fluid cooler:
    http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=3521&prmenbr=361

and i bought 3 autometer guages: boost, air/fuel, and oil pressure.
I have a full exhaust from the cat back 2.5" mendrel bent with no reso, or cats and a straight through muffler (magnaflow). The only thing i need now is some new fuel injectors. I talked to the guys over at monkey wrench racing, and they told me the 2ZZ injectors would fit, and they flow 320cc/min, which is perfect for the 7.5 psi i plan on running...only prolbem is i dont know where to get them. Toyota wants $162 a piece for them, and i say screw that. Does anyone know where i can get these injectors? (toyota part number 23209-22060-01)

BTW, if anyone else is thinking about doing a turbo for our cars, i would call the guys at monkey wrench racing, they talked to me for like 15 min and they seemed to know a hell of a lot about our cars. They told me that there have already been a few turbo corollas come out of their shop, so call them if you have questions, and buy their stuff too :)

    Re: status of the turbo

Nice project that you got going....but one word of advice......I sincerely hope that you are not going to be using the air/fuel for anymore than enjoying the pretty lights. The stock O2 sensor is only desgined to give you accurate reading for around stoich (14.7) to aid the car in operating in closed loop. To use the readings when under boost to tune would not be a great idea as it is inaccurate. Just a FYI to you. Good luck with sourcing some injectors and let us know how it goes!

yeah, i read that before on this forum i think. The shop has a wideband O2 sensor thingie to hook up, along with a dyno, so hopefully tuning wont be that bad. but yeah, i do like the flasy lights :)

Hey this looks like a real nice job you're doing. When you're done, let me know, i'd be interested in putting your kit on my car too.

Good good! That's the right way to get the A/F and to tune for fueling. It's nice to have a overlay trending of the A/F along with the dyno chart.

ok, the guage pillar fit...kinda. The stock pillar uses those plastic pop screws to hold it in place...well the unit i got was made of fiberglass and it fit in place perfect, but there was no means to secure it (no pop screw holes in it. What i eneded up doing was getting some mounting tape, and super glue and kinda just supergluing the mounting tape to the area in the back where it meets the windshield. It looks perfect and is holding up just fine. I'd buy it from him again, it looks really nice and freaks people out when they see a boost guage and air/fuel guage in a corolla :)
