    Standard Oil Pressure PSI

    Hey guys,

What is the standard PSI for Oil pressure on a corolla, or in my case a Civic. Both idle, and at WOT.

    Thanks guys.

From a cold startup or from when the engine is fully warmed up?

At idle, oil up to temp, as long as you are not in single digit PSI, you are in good shape. Pressure will ramp up with increasing RPMs, obviously pressures will be higher with colder oil temperatures due to the oil being more viscous.

From what I remember - ideally at idle, pressure is spec'd to be around 43PSI or more. At 3000 RPM (considered off-idle speed maybe?) oil pressure can range between 43-78PSI, at WOT - 60PSI+.

I'd only start worrying if pressures are below 10-20 PSI or greater than 150-200 PSI. Its that Goldilock's Paradox - not too low, not too high.

    Thanks for the answer

I just needed to know, so I know what kind of Oil Pressure gauge to get. cause the one im looking at only goes to 100psi, so I want to make sure that its enough.
