    Stall in an Automatic?!?

OK so I enter the school parking lot and as usual when its icy I try to have fun. I pulled the ebrake and put it sideways, then it whipped around and I did a 180. I usually put it in N before the end of the 180 but I wasn't thinking this morning. So when I try to drive forward after slidng backwards, my gas pedel didn't do anything and the steering wheel locked up. Check engine light was on as well. I was worried for a sec, but I turned it off, started it back up and parked. So did I stall my automatic? Or was it something else?

Yeah you stalled it. It's harder to do in an automatic but it is possible. Also you potentially do a lot more damage when you do. Be careful.

Here in Georgia sometimes it got hot enough that my auto stalled when pulling out from a red light.

did it stall after u went backwards...or while? iono but i think cuz at D, it's only suppose to go forward and if it goes backward enough, its gonna stall.

Ya I dont know exactly when it happened, but I was going backwards at about 10 mph and when i tried to go forward after i stoped I couldn't. I figured it was bad, As I said I meant to throw it in reverse or N, but I wasn't thinking cause im dumb.
