    Split Second AIC-1 Alternative

I posted this over on Matrix Owners. Applies to the Corolla as well.

FYI for anyone considering getting the Split Second AIC-1 injector controller along with the Aquamist water injection for their SC'd Corolla.

URD (Underdog Racing Development) has their own version of the AIC-1 which has a plug specifically for the Aquamist system.

I emailed Gadget (the owner of URD) about the differences between the AIC-1 and their unit, here is his reply:

"Our AIC is made for us by Split Second. There are a few things different about ours that really are not that significant. The one thing is that we have the water injector plug on one of the injector harnesses and that each plug has it's own independent map. I guess the biggest difference is ours is a tad cheaper then buying the plain Jane version from Split Second."

Also, I have emailed Gadget several times with questions. He is very knowledgeable about Toyota performance and very willing to help us out.
