    Speedometer Gauge

I was thinking of getting an A-pillar Pod that can hold 2 gauges. Right now I want a new Speedometer and perhaps the second will be used when an excellent manufacturer decides to bring a turbo (not a dumb power robbing supercharger) to market.

My problem is this: I have looked online for performance speedometers and the only ones that seem to make electronic speedometers are Autometer. What happened to the other guys like Injen, Apexi, Bitz, TRD? Don't they do any speedos?

-Secondly, does anyone know a manufacturer that makes a-pillar pods that fit nice and neatly into our Corollas?

It seems as if they're taking forever to come out with aftermarket parts for these cars.

    Pillar

Thanks for the advice. His stuff looks neat, but it only fis (2-1/16") gauges. The speedometers I've seen so far only come in the sizes of 3-1/8", 3-3/8", 5 inch. Does anyone know where I can get some really cool looking speedometers for the Corolla? I checked Autometer, but any other companies?

    Thanks alot!

I dont think you want a speedometer on the A-pillar, plus you wont find a gauge pod for the A-piller to hold a speedo anyway. Autometer is a good company, if you find what you want from them.

But companies like injen and TRD dont make stuff like gauges anyway. Atleast i dont think so but i could be wrong. I dont think blitz dose either but they might since they make turbo stuff. But i dont really have any sudgestions either so srry.

Why would I not want a speedo on the a-pillar? Cops? I really want one because the corolla speedo only goes to 110 and I'm planning on adding a turbo as well as some extensive mods to the engine when they become available. Thanks for any advice!

you'll also have to mod the ECU to allow you to go faster than 114

a SPEEDO on the A PILLAR wouldnt be too convienient in my opinion. Plus if you want it on the A pillar its gona have to be small to fit a gauge pod for the A pillar unless you get one custom made. I like the idea of gauges on the A pillar, dont get me wrong, but not a SPEEDO on the A pillar. I would get something to replace the speedo in the stock spot. You would probably have to do a custom job because i doubt a higher speedo will ever be made to fit the rolla's, but it would be pretty sweet to have a big digital speedo in place of the stock one, in my opinion.

I called up TRD and they said that the gauges they currently make for the Celica will not work on our Corollas. Autometer is the only one that makes nice looking Speedometers. I want a dam A-pillar pod for 2 maybe 3 gauges.

Guys, this car has been out for a whole year and yet hardly any parts of good quality by reputable aftermarket tuners are made. I'm gona find out about making a pod myself, I'll probably have to buy the 3-3/8" elecronic speedometer, take down the original a-pillar clad, make a mold of it, graft a mold of the speedo housing on it, make a mold of that, then cast. It'll take a while to get it looking real nice but I'm gona try.

Also, gona make my own HID conversion kit, I'll buy the bulbs, but I'm gona make the conversion. Wish me luck, I need it.

    Thanks!

If anyone knows who makes an A-pillar gauge pod that'll fit a speedo let me know!
Else its time to inhale some bondo!
