    Right now i want to upgrade things in steps. in the audio part i have already installed an alpine head unit but i am wondering if i can just upgrade the speakers for now or do i have to get an amp.

    you can put in new speakers no problem, definatelly the sound should be much better give you buy some good speakers, my personal favorite were sony xplode 3 way
