    Spark plugs and wires

    Hey guys, not sure if this has been a post before or not, but i was wondering how i could go about changing both the plugs and the plug wires on a 99 Corolla CE. thanks.

    Make sure there's no dirt/nastiness around the plugs -- you don't want anything falling inside your engine.

    I'd recommend completely changing one plug/wire at a time, so you don't run the risk of switching anything around.

    Unplug plug wire #1. Unscrew plug #1. Insert new plug #1. Tighten (not too tight..you may want to get it back out to replace again eventually - you may want to put anti-seize on it). Plug your new wire into it. Trace the old wire back to its origin (I dunno what exactly it's called..sorry)..unplug it..plug the other end of the new wire in there.

    Repeat for #2, #3, #4. =)

    I can't remember if you're supposed to disconnect the battery, but it wouldn't hurt..
