I have upgraded my sparkplug wires, but only on my '86 Corolla and my '65 Dodge Dart... It can be a good investment, however, don't expect immense gains in performance. It's just one of those "every little bit helps" things.

Also, don't expect to perform such an upgrade on a VVT-i engine, as the coils fit directly over the spark plugs on these engines. No distributor, no spark plug wires.

Not unless Toyota took a huge step backwards.
