    Spark Plug Cleaning

Did anyone do it on a VVT-i? How tough/easy is it? Is there a DIY somewhere? Help appreciated...

I've never cleaned a spark plug. usually when one goes bad, its not because its dirty or anything. replacing is the fastest way. are your spark plugs bad?

i've only replace my spark plugs once after 80K on my car. i've replaced about 5 spark plugs all together on different cars. from my experience, you can usually tell if the spark plugs are good or bad just by looking at them and usually when they are bad, its really not worth cleaning or trying to fix. I currently have NGK's in my car but before on my old car i put denso platinums when my car still only had 20K on it. performance was noticeably different. and since then I never had to replace it because i never saw a decrease in performance.. in fact my car got in an accident before it had to be replaced..hehe.. that was around 95K miles.
