    Sony PSP

So I went to Gamestop today to buy Gran Turismo 4...well, i saw that they were advertising Sony PSP's already....so.....i decided to go ahead and pay in full for one already and get one from their first shipment that comes in to their store.....im so freakin excited about it....the release date is set at March 24th!

But for those of you who have not heard a dayum thing about this or want to know a little information, Ive already done the research on it so you dont have to.....youre welcome...hehe

Now that Ive got your attention even more, this handheld is the best thing you can get to a portable Playstation 2. As a matter of fact PSP stands for Playstation Portable. Anyway, this system has a very high resolution lit color 16:9 wide screen, it can play games, movies on UMD discs (such as bad boys 2, spiderman 2, XXX (and no xxx isnt porn, its the one w/ vin diesel in it), etc...)...it can also play mp3s, and just as the playstation 2, you can play against other players via the wireless internet or LAN. The system will be further integrated to handle an actual online internet capability where you can just get online and like check your email or something. From what ive heard, which isnt official yet, but there will be 25 games ready for the stores on the PSP's release date and a handful of movies...im not really sure which ones but the guy at Gamestop said that my preorder comes with a movie and he said he thinks its Spiderman 2. And for those of you who saw GT4 on the pictures....GT4 is suppose to be released with the PSP but its still unofficial, however there will be GT4 for the PSP nonetheless....three games im hoping to buy that i heard will be out on the same release date are Need For Speed Rivals, Metal Gear Acid, and Tony Hawk Proskater.....now for those of you that wanna kno how much for a Sony PSP....$249.99 US.....decent price eh!!!!

And here is a full list of the specs on the PSP......now how many want one?!???!

Amen. I dunno about the dual screen idea but besides that Gameboy has been around forever, they know what they are doing.

Yeah Nintendo sure knows what they're doing alright. Milking gamers out of their money. The DS just came out late last year. Late 2005/Early 2006 Nintendo is shipping out a NEW Gameboy (not DS) that'll be along the same lines as the PSP. This is fact and has been reported on many gaming sites. So what was the point of coming out with the Nintendo DS, marketing it as a gaming handheld, yet come out with a new Gameboy a year later? Nintendo's reasoning? they're turning the DS into a PDA complete with PDA software later on.

Meh, I'm getting a PSP. Movies, MP3s and Games all in one. Battery life isn't a factor.

    Its called business.

Ive never been a fan of handheld systems...I had Game Gear at one point, which was the best at that time, but had some problems with it. Never been a fan of the handhelds.

Ill stick to playing console systems with surround sound on big tvs.

Or an updated version of XBox...anything planned?

And the games for PSP are going to be 29 bucks each!!!

I havent kept up with the PS3 speculation since about last month but the last I heard they are in the stages of completeing it but refining is what takes more time than anything. Right now they are getting ready to release TV's specially made for the PS3 since the graphics for the PS3 are suppose to be photo-realistic. Those TV's are suppose to be ready by the end of this year to the beginning of 2006. The PS3 is suppose to be ready by summer of 2006-2007. At first, i heard the new Xbox is suppose to be out this summer.....but i dunno bout that cuz i havent heard anything about updating it.....

...Anyways, I use to be a Nintendo fan....i mean, they had the best console. Then once the PS2 came out, Nintendo just kept getting beat by Sony....First, PS1 came out, then N64 came out, then Gamecube came out right before PS2 did so they could capture the gamers that couldnt wait for the PS2....then Nintendo makes Gameboy advance before Gamecube....then Gameboy SP came out.....Nintendo heard bout PSP coming out so Nintendo releases Nintendo DS before PSP once again to beat Sony and capture as many gamers who cant wait for the PSP. Now, plenty of people are once again gonna give up their Nintendo systems for Sony's....IMO, Nintendo is too cartoony and not realistic enough....I mean look at their games...Super Mario, Yoshi's whatever, Star Fox, Mario Party, Donkey Kong crap, etc.....then the better games that Nintendo has is shared by the other systems...like NFSU1 and 2 is on all Gamecube, PS2 and Xbox.....Sony's stuff focuses more on gaming experience so the more realistic, the better....IMO, the best game made for Nintendo (other than the Zelda franchise of games) would be Goldeneye for N64 just cuz of the awesome multiplayer on it....

For $249.99, i think its a really great value....at first people thought it was gonna be around $700-$1,000 because of how capable it was gonna be....I mean, its gonna have near PS2 graphics, the same internet capability as PS2, Its gonna be able to play movies like the PS2.....but the things that the PSP can do that the PS2 can not do are....the PSP is portable....PSP can fit in your pocket.....PSP can save and play mp3's (im trying to figure out if it can save mpegs)....you will soon be able to check email and other things like that on PSP....you dont need to buy another TV to plug it into to play it like you would if you had a PS2 and didnt have a TV....I mean compared to the Nintendo DS (whose capabilities are limited to ONLY playing games) which sold for $150 or something, and compared to the PS2 and the Xbox, which debut at like $199.99....a portable version of a PS2, the Sony PSP, selling at a debut price of $249.99 compared to the speculated $700-$1,000 price tag is an excellent price....

...At least its not like this thing...

For those of you who arent familiar with this...this is the Creative Labs Zen Portable Media Center, which plays movies and mp3s stored into its internal hard drive thing....and thats all it does, plays movies and mp3s...its portable too....yea and it also sells for $499.99...

So I stick by my statement about $249.99 for the PSP being a good price...

well...imagine the wear and tear on the touch pad after time...at work we have one of those electronic signature things....it only took weeks for it to get all blurred by so many people signing on it with that little soft pen thing....

Hehe...the above post reminded me of something I saw at Target this morning...they have those machines that you sign with the electronic pen. Someone used a real pen to sign their name....IDIOT.
