being I've had the psp 3 weeks before It was realsed to the general Public I'm going to say Sony.. The Psp has really captioned the market on the handheld aspect and nothing comes even close on features. dvd video also is a plus for non gaming mode..
I use my psp when I travel and it's very compact and the screen is perfect and readable there are a few drawbacks but overall I like this system over the Nintendo anyday...

I like the Sony PSP much better. I use to own one (actually, I got mine the first day on a release party at Game Stop) but sold it after two months just like I usually do with all my handhelds, lol. I dont like the Nintendo DS mainly because of the touch screen concept. Sure its a fascinating concept and all but after long enough, it'll get all scratched up and there's no adequate screen protector out there for it. When I had my PSP, I bought a US screen protector but later trashed it because I found a complete transparent face protector from Hong Kong. Plus, there are many more possibilites with the PSP. You can save pictures, music, videos, and even connect to the internet with the PSP. On top of that, I personally think the graphics are much more interesting on the PSP as well. Nintendo is too cartoony for me.

Hah! I'm the only n00b who voted for the DS. Anywho, DS might be losing in this poll, but its beating the PSP in sales. :read:

I have a DS, and i've used a PSP, and its the DS for me hands down. I just love the games on it, and the dual screen (with the touch screen) makes for more interactive gameplay I find.

I say Nintendo DS because recently the UMD discs for Sony started getting phased out due to lack of demand. So, the movies people thought they could watch on the thing are slowly disappearing.

Thanks Guys, I picked up a DS Lite this morning, its charging right now. I already have a PSP but I don't play it much because I honestly don't like a lot of the games I have and its very uncomfortable to hold. However it is pretty slick to play old Nintendo games on with the 1.5 firmware :D

I got a Nintendo DS Lite and OMG do I love it. I played the crap out of the new Mario Brothers. I think the graphics on the PSP pretty much own this thing but it has a brighter screen with more color in my opinion. But if I had to buy just one of them for strictly gaming it would be the DS but since I like doing Multimedia and Homebrew the PSP still has its place. I still need to get a 4gb card for my PSP so I can install every emulator game in existance on it :D
