Id prolly say go with Pioneer, but does depend which models of eah brand u compare... On a side not u plan to get a 5.1 decoder... Now correct me if Im wrong, its going to decode ur dvds and output sound in 5.1? How would the 5.1 setup work in a car? (I knw about home theatre systems, shit I sell em all day long lol, knw somewhat abt car fi so was tryin to figure out the 5.1 in ur ride)... Btw id also reccomend gettin a good alarm with all tht work being done :)...

for 5.1 its the same setup as a home system, you just need to mount a center speaker next to the screen, as you would in home theater. and really its not all that differnet from other set ups. its kinda simple, just mounting the center speaker in a place tha looks nice and sounds right is the key.
it will sound ok in the car as long as the speakers are set at the right level and the sub is not to load as most like to have it, the sub can be any where to, is nodirectional so you can put it in the back seat and it still would be fine.

anywho...as for an alarm...never though of that, any suggestions??

oh ok coo... Thats what I figured... Yea ur putting so much time/money/effort into your ride, u need an alarm... U could either get lo jack, or if you want a 2 way pager alarm... Thats what I have(see sig)... www.directedelectronics.com has some good ones... The reason I say 2 way pager is so if nethin happens to ur ride it pages u right away and u can run out to ur car :)...

i just put a autopage rs750lcd its a good idea because i live on the north side of chicago in an apartment. sometimes i have to park 2-3 blocks away. it pages me from up to 1500 feet. it was rated in the top 10 in some car security magazine.
