You can pass with the Forza header. Just cover it up.

According to dyno test, don't bother throwing out the CAT, change it for a high flow one, with which you will still be able to pass smog. Believe me, you will not gain 1hp and even less ft/lbs with the cat gutted then with a high flow one. Sure it's a little more expensive but you will stay street legal and will be able to tell those tree huggers that you are part of those guys trying to save the world :p

Don't expect a lot of gain either with a costom header, just have yours ported and polished, using extruding paste and port match the flange with your head. Don't forget that unless you are willing to go F/I, bigger is not always better on the exhaust side, the 1-3 hp you will gain in the last 500 rpm will make a big drop on all of your torque curve, with our long ratio gearbox, it will be even badder on the acceleration time and you will end up going slower.

Even with a fully ported head, 2 inchs runners are a bit to big on a N/A setup, you need to keep back pressure and don't forget either that the smaller the diameter of the pipe, the faster the exhaust will flow, go too small and you get a big restriction. and to big the exhaust gases don't get pushed through.

With our stock header, port match it, have it polished and wrap it with aluminium tape and insulation tape (or go big time and have it ceramic coated) to keep the gases as hot as possible (the hotter they are, the less dence they get) which will get the flow moving even faster and create a vaccum effect that will drag every exhaust pulses after it.

Here is the theory, a nicer header is always good but don't forget to evaluate the cost, even more with a stock cylinder head. Instead of investing the money needed for an aftermarket header, I would have mine polished and ceramic coated, in my opinion, it has a better chance of outflowing the aftermarket header for the price the later would cost. Anyways that's just my two cents....
