Every engine has sleaves. They are pressed into the block and are generally stronger so that they can take the abuse of the combustion.

I have one time custom Darton racing sleaves in my other motor, but sleaves in themselves do nothing but make the motor stronger, it's the pistons that would give more power.

    Re: sleeve kit????

your most likely talking about the sleeve kit from MWR(monkey wrench racing). The kit comes with sleeves and your choice of high compression pistons or lower compression pistons. Its a big bore kit.

according to toysport.com, the big bore kit almost makes the engine a 2.0L. I considered this option but I read somewhere that you would also have to change a whole bunch of other things, e.g. rods and ECU, plus it would change the whole dynamic of emissions. tempting, but it is one of those if you start you can't go back deals. I guess it would be ok if you had another 1zzfe engine and could swap it in and out rather inexpensively. With all the money for the above option, another car would probably be in order...
