Any inlet size will work... your gonna have to get it welded on anyways since there are no bolt ons.

what you mean by entire set up? do u mean all the pipes too? Wouldn't that be lots of work?

Yeah, it is a lot more work. He means put on the headers, and then weld a custom exhaust all the way back, including the catalytic converter and resonator.

That's kinda what I meant. But yeah get a header, screw the cat, straight pipe it to the muffler of your choice. You're not doing it yourself unless you have a welding machine, so why not do it proper? The stock piping in the 8th gen is embarrassing.

Loolll, thats too much work....not looking to get too loud
Im thinking of getting the muffler at the local Lordco, and go to some muffler shop to put it on...
Anyways although hummer said any size inlet will be ok, i still dont know which one to go for...
(if the inlet size to too big, wouldn't there be a gap between the stock and the muffler it self?)

So, you aren't looking to get it loud.... well apparently you aren't looking to increase performance, either.

So then, why are you going to all this effort, when the stock muffler should keep on working finely??

They will make an adapter, its not rocket science to go from 0.00000001" stock piping to 2" magnaflow.

Still didn't answer golds question... if you aren't wanting to do the work necessary to get performance gains but don't want it to be loud either, why are you doing it? If you want something to sound just a bit better and give a bit of performance, remove the intake resonator box, install a K&N drop in filter, and leave the stock exhaust.

A muffler gives the car a little tone to it as it did with mine. But I have no idea how it will sound on the corolla since I had a cat back installed.

Reason to replace the stock muffler is cuz its punctured , and there is a hole on it. I just want something instead of the stock. Also, I do have a K&N panel filter in my stock air box. =):() but not much difference in terms of power increase...

Yeah, intake and exhaust won't do jack on a Corolla. Nothing will increase "power" other than boost or NOS.

So, the muffler already has a hole in it? probably sounds like the Magnaflow already haha.

Did you remove the resonator box? Don't listen to gold about boost being the only way go gain power. I should dyno my car to see what kind of gains I have. I have to go back to stock though. I have a feeling that with the ELP CAI, OBX header, test pipe and full exhaust coming up, there will be gains to had by an intake and exhaust.

I had full exhaust, intake, and my car was no faster. It doesn't add HP, but rather increases throttle response and frees up the engine to use it's HP more efficiently.

Any increase in throttle response with the resonator box removed?
