SILENCING THE BUZZER ONCE REVERSE IN ENGAGED (AUTO)

    Hi,

I don't know if this is only avaiable on south america, but my corolla came with a stupid buzzer that starts everytime reverse is engaged.

Can anyone help me silencing it?

    Thanks,
    Gus

Should be a relay under your dash. it will be almost right beside the blinker relay. Just pull that out. After its out double check your reverse lights are still coming on. They should. If they do and you get no buzz then you are in business. You cant miss the relay either, it will be a big cylinder shaped silver thing of some sort.

If you arnt sure then just put the ebrake on and put the car in reverse. then stick your head under the dash, you should be able to hear where its coming from, but you can also then put your finger on the different things under there. you will feel it vibrating so you'll know which one it is. Then shut the car off and pull it out. Its prolly ok to take it out while its running but just to be sure shut the car off first. Then still double check the back up lights are still coming on outside.

    I will try that.

Also, I went to the authorized toyota dealer and I was told that if I decide to silence the buzzer, the instrument panel will be disabled. Have you heard of it?
