    signal bulbs??

Does anyone have the Sylvania Silverstar signal bulbs?? They are blue bulbs, but when you use the signal they flash amber. With the lights off they look sick! They give a slight reflection into your headlight casing giving it a bluish tint. If anyone has them let me know if you like em or not. If no one has them then Ill post pics when I get mine in... the only downside is that they are like $25 a pair. (for blinker lights!!??)

IMO, there not worth it. They really arent that blue, there still pretty orange. When they light up the look just like the stock bulbs, when there off they look like the stock bulbs with a thin pearlecent blue coating, but they still look orange. Deff not worth it IMO.

Well I have them installed. They light up slightly yellow-er than the stock amber bulbs. But the overall color is amber. The bulb itself is actually not "blue" per se. It's some special European-designed coating called dia-dem or something. The bulb actually has a more blueish-purplish translucent color to it. It looks best with clear corners though because the amber reflector tends to make the bulb look amber rather than what it really is.

    Re: signal bulbs??

Osram makes 3056/3057 Magic Star/Diadem bulbs for your E34. They probably look very similar to the bulbs that your receiving for your Corolla.

I have chromed 3157 signal bulbs.

A 3157 is a dual filament bulb. The lower wattage filament is for the parking lights, the higher wattage filament is for signalling purposes. When the lights are on, the bulb is lit, although dimmer than when the signal filament is lit.

When the signal is not on, the bulb appears completely silver.

I just got my Sylvania Silverstar signal bulbs and all I can say that its not worth it coz it cost me $22.49 via online with shipping for it. You will be paying that much for only a blusih tint on it that you will only notice when its unlit. But performance wise, its is just the same as your stock signal lights.

If I knew this, I might have waited for my stock signal lights to get busted and then that would be the time that I would buy this Sylvania Silverstar signal bulbs.

Well, this is my IMO too. :)

Well, in all honesty, were you expecting it to light up the world? Hehe, j/k. You're right, just about the only difference between the stock signal bulbs and the Sylvanias is the color of the bulb itself when it's UNLIT. I mean it really is for looks only. It has the exact same wattage as the stock bulb, so it doesn't light up any brighter or anything. It is an exact 3157 replacement bulb, so it doesn't blink faster or anything either. As a note to anyone who is considering these bulbs, the diadem coating is cool, but these bulbs are for looks only. Like I posted earlier, though, they look best with clear cornered headlamps, just as chrome signal bulbs also look great with clear corners. To some people, looks are worth a $20 investment. For others, I don't know why they bought it.
