Lol reading that forum just crack me up hahhhaha... put a 06 civic si vs. 06 rolla xrs lol does it make a difference, nope... rolla will still win cuz the new Si is slower then the EP3 by 0.1 sec to 60mph and the EP3 is slower then that 99-00 SI that the rolla raced...

you're thinkin of the last gen Si Hatch uglymobile. the new Si has 200hp and would probably lay a significant hurting on the XRS. But not for a while cuz it hasn't been released yet lol.

Man those guys are some serious honda nutswingers. The idea that a corolla with more hp, more displacement, and more torque, while weighing less could possibly be faster than anything with an "H" on the hood is beyond their comprehension lol.

    go do some research..

<--personally drove the 06 SI before it came out and it was WAYYYYY faster than 99-00 SI's and WAY WAY WAY faster than the mini-minivan SI

the 99-00 SI's came with a b16a2 which had 165 hp and the new 2006 SI comes with a k20z3 that has 197 hps, ANYBODY knows that a k series motor will out perform a B series motor anytime, especially if it's rated more than the B series. the K series motors are crazy responsive to mods, just tuning a stock car with hondata wont do much, but tune the hondata and add just a catback, and the numbers shoot up like crazy

plus the 06 SI comes with a 6 speed gearbox with LSD

only downside to it is that it's 150 lbs more than a RSX-S

06 SI will spank on 99-00 SI anyday, street, track, drag

the 2zz engine has a higher compression ratio, than the 00' si and thats why the xrs has a better chance of bottom end and top end.if this is not the reason its all on the driver because that si had a aftermarket exhaust vs a stocker.

    Here are the numbers

    03-06 2zz
    164 hp @ 7600 rpm;
    125 lb.-ft. @ 4400 rpm
    curb weight 2800
    (open diff.)

    '06 si
    197 hp @ 7800
    139 lb.-ft. @ 6100
    curb weight 2877
    (LSD)

    '06 Nissan sentra spec-V
    175 hp @ 6,000 rpm
    180 lb-ft of torque @ 4,000 rpm
    curb weight 2,710
    (LSD)

What the hell does nissan have to do with si vs. xrs??? nothing...just thrown in for shizz and grizzles

But that's the newer models, I dunno what the older si really has...170 I think...but I dunno
