    Shutter in front end

I have a questions I hope someone knows. I have a 3 month old New 2004 Corolla. It has been great except that there is this consistant shutter coming from the front end. It almost feels like a tire is out of ballance or something. I can feel it in the wheel, in the floor, and in my seat. I have taken it to the dealer twice and each time they balance the tires and have also rotated them this last time to see if that was it. But it's still doing it. It does it at about 60 mph and higher. I don't feel it at the lower speeds. Is anyone else having this problem or does anyone have any idea what it could be?

I want it fixed and just not sure what it could be. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes Brian, I too have the same problem. I also have a shutter/vibration around 20 mph. I have balanced and rotated the tires myself (I am an Audi technician.) There is definately something wrong with these cars. I think it may be in the transmission or axles, possibly even in the engine.

Typically when a vibration occurs at higher speeds it is usually related to tires/wheels. But I have a vibration both at 20mph and at 70mph. Unfortunately my car is not stock so I will have to either re-purchase original wheels and tires and re-install the factory springs or just live with it. I have not been to the dealer yet because I don't want to hear about how my modifications are causing the problem.

I am suprised that nobody else has responded to your post. I was hoping to hear that there are more of us out there with this problem. I also drove a Pontiac Vibe that had the same vibration at 20mph only it wasn't as bad. That leads me to believe that it could be in the engine, as it is common to both cars.

I hope that we will get more people to share if they suffer the same problem. Also, do you get a knocking/clacking noise at idle when your A/C is on??? The car has done this since new. When you press in the clutch it will go away. This car is starting to piss me off.
