honestly if you're that hard core about lightweight and speed, you need to just buy a new car.

you gain 5-10hp back not added. with your ac. My a/c with bracket was 30lbs. Now you can't take your power steering out without damaging your rack. They make non power steering racks for a reason. So, leave it

Definitly dont pull out power steering you could take out A/C if you dont use it. There is no point for it if you just crack your window. Basically think of it this way 100 lbs equals about a tenth in the quarter. By the way this is the first time I have seen you post but whats up with the Supercharged Nitrous combo is that working out well for you? What shot are you running? Have you been on the dyno? Any other mods? There are a lot of other ways you can lose weight in the car though I believe there is some sound deading you can remove and there is also a good thread on Newcelica.org that talks about everything you can do.

like said earlier... Id leave it unless your making a track car just for racing and you have another ride to get you around daily.

Got any pics of your setup?

definitely look at other options for weight reduction versus pulling out the A/C or power steering. there are many options like

    CF Hoods, trunks, doors, accessories
Lightweight Wheels - Centerlines - Volks
Replace the stock front and back seats....

I was pullin the powersteering out for strictly NOS reasons... and who ever ask how the nos and supercharger combo is going... DONT DO IT. It is safe if you just use 25 shot with the supercharger, but other than that i had to get all new valve stems and springs... it is not worth it. The A/C dosnt work, so i figured i would pull it just to get rid of useless wieght.. oh yea i only wieght 165 so bit me who ever said i need to lose weight. I am now in washington so i really dont need a/c even if it worked ya know.

ummmmm i know the rolla can be some what decent with a supercharger adn some other mods but if u are that serious about speed u have to get a new car. The corolla was made as a economy, student, family type car. NOT for racing. I wouldnt recommend pulling anything out. Its just not worth it.

I realized my car wont be going anywhere so im going for the all show no go set up. heh

i beg to differ on your ideas of what the corolla is designed for.... if they didnt intend for the car to be tuned and performance inhanced they would have never made the S or new XRS models. i say if you wanna get that deep into enhancing the performance in your corolla go right ahead...

never made the S? the "S" has the same performance as a CE or LE....as for the XRS, its not really designed as a RACE car. tuned and peformance inhanced..yes, but not a full blown race car in which people start stripping conveniences that are paid for. it is still a daily driver that is reliable, comfortable, and what not...i wouldnt disagree with the guy since his ac dont even work and he dididnt use it anyways, why not take it out...but for most, if they really wanted a RACE car that would have your car stripped, why not get like a used car with more potential for like half the cost of a 03+ corolla

Leave the power steering. Removing the pump or disconnected the belt will destroy your rack within a month, guarenteed. I am proof - tried in my 1990 Camry back in the "young and stupid" day and ended up replacing a $300 part - but it was just b/c mine was leaking fluid from the pressure hose and I didn't have the time to fix it. Ended up with much worse problems.

And yes, the Corolla is an economy sedan in nature. However, I don't think TRD would have made a supercharger for the car if it weren't meant to be modified. And I'm still amazed by how sporty the suspension is on my '03 Corolla - you know....for just a little economy car. I just don't fall into the mindset that economy has to be a trade-off for performance because it doesn't have to be that way. It's all about the engineering and design - and Toyota does very well at both I think. How else could Toyota INCREASE hp in the '03 models and also INCREASE fuel mileage?? That's an increase in performance AND economy. Not to mention Toyota knows they can spare a few hp on an engine and achieve a ULEV emissions rating. The Tundra V8 being the first V8 ever to achieve ULEV emissions status, and that's a V8 with a LOT of power and torque. The economy label is all in the tuning - it can be undone and re-worked when provided with the time and money. The 1ZZ is a very solid powerplant to start with. I say mod it like hell - that's what I'm doing to mine when I get the money next year.

well the rolla broke so i paid it off and got a new 2k5 Rolla XRS... its the shit.. but when i put the short ram on, it threw the 2441 code... Whats up with that? Its a Matrix XRS short ram, so there was not that much difference. Where can i get the layout for the corollla instalation?

IIRC many of the short rams put the MAF too close to the filter, the turbulant air can throw a CEL.
