the muffler itself doesnt look too shaby considering its similar to the one i bought myself, but at $9.00 I would have to say something is not right...

actually, you should probably save up for a full catback system instead of just the muffler. once i have about 3 bills to spend on it, thats what im getting.

is that inlet size or exhaust size. cause my inlet is 2 inch but my tip is 4.5 inch. It doesnt matter in the inlet size cause they have increaser and reducers to mate the piping and muffler meet
Cause if you get the muffler you want to get, the next step would be taking it to a muffler shop and getting piping putt on from the resonator back, usually 2.25 is the best size and of course mount the muffler

never take a "performance" muffler to meineke...they'll charge you up the ass to put it on and they never give you an actual price until they're done...you get an estimate before and they end up charging you like an extra $100...at least that's how the one around here did one of my friends.

i got a muffler from ebay and it sounds just like most people that have full catbacks...i think it's from otto racing (that's what the box says and its on the side of the muffler, but you never know with ebay)...but it's definitely got that deep throaty sound and not that fart can annoying sound

you see- i just got an ebay muffler too a while ago- cost 40 bucks- it was an Apexi N1 "style" rip off- sure it was cheap- it had a really LOW deep sound -but it was solid-the same pitch, the same damn sound- then i got a catback w/ bigger piping that CHANGED the whole pitch of the sound, gave it a totally different sound and feeling- i was in love- catback ALL THE WAY!

if you want your piping to be 2.25" and the inlet to your muffler is 2.5"..then theyll get like a reducer or something similar that is 2.5" on one end and 2.25" on the other end and probably weld it together.

basically with my old muffler, the shop had to weld from 1.75'ish stock piping to about 2inch piping to about 2.25'ish piping to the muffler's 2.5 inch inlet! it looked nasty as hell-but it worked! also-if these mufflers DONT HAVE HOOKS, they will have to "make" some using 2 twisted metal pieces- and welding it directly to the muffler- some mufflers have a metal clamp that wraps around the muffler so they just weld the hooks to that instead of the muffler so it doesnt "ruin" the muffler itself-itll rust otherwise..

The place that did my exhaust only wants 75 bucks for a 2.25" catback..plus whatever muffler you want..it shouldn't be too expensive.
