The most recent mr2 generation should fit for sure. However, i am not sure about the Celica however. My guess is the previous celica generation, but its just a good guess since i know the 9th gen corolla and last gen celica used many similar parts.

    short shifter

Your welcome. The only issue i noticed is the small pivot ball on the celica shifter seemed a little smaller than the OEM shifter one. So the result is the celica shifter feels a little loose when you wiggle it back and forth when it is in gear. I plan to put a small piece of tubing around the ball to have a better fit, other than that i have had no issues with the celica shifter. It works well plus i think that Aluminum bushing came with it or at least my shifter came with them. So you can replace the rubber bushings with the aluminum ones and that makes a big difference also. The shift is faster and less wiggle. Difenite improvement over stock.

Yep i would say about 1 or 2 inches shorter than stock plust it is straight and not bent like the stock shifter.

Check out this company if you haven't already: http://www.twmperformance.com/short...ortshifters.htm

I purchased a short shifter for my 05 Corolla from them and let me tell you, it's f@&%$*^! awesome. I would recommend that you purchase the shifter base and bronzeoil shifter cable bushings along with the shifter. If the shifter for the celica will fit then this one should to. It comes with all the necessary hardware for install as well as an install manual with photos. It truly is a high quality item and worth every penny. It'll shorten up the shifter length and make the shifting feel a lot more solid. So check it out.
