Engine short shifter wobbles

    short shifter wobbles

    i got a twm shortshifter about eight months ago, installed and it shifts good but it seems like its not tight enough in their, it feels kind of loose i followed the instructions right i think lol any suggestions on how to make it snug in there or did i do something wrong?

    8 months ago? did you take off the shift boot and look at it? Maybe the piece that holds it down came loose or something.

    yea i installed it eight months ago but never had time to see what was wrong with it. i made sure everything was connected but it still jiggles around in neutral. It shifts fine but the wobble is annoying. it seems like its not fitting right towards the large ball just below the shift knob. it moves around inside the little enclosure. i dont know if i need to smack that pin it more to make it tight or what.

    mine seems a little loose as well. i have a gap of about 1/16 inch between that snap on ball retainer and the base. IIRC it was flush before i started, but i cant seem to seat it further down.

    i dont notice it when driveing, only when im "looking" for fit and finish issues.
