    short ram

on vamps site there's a diy where you can change the direction of the pipe around the battery that went into the resinator box so it got better air flow goin in from the open end. Since both ends are open when you take the stock intake out and put a short ram in would it still help cool that part of the engine bay since the short ram sits all the way in the back where not the greatest air flow goes?. I was thinking about doing that project but i dont know if it's going to be pointless.

note: I didn't relocate my battery to the trunk or anything.

also what size k&n filter would I need 2002 chevy prizm. I am currently using the ebay one off of my friends civic idk what year.
