a short ram intake is generally designed to allow more air into the engine through a larger diameter intake duct and a high performance filter. the problem with short rams is that they draw air from within the engine compartment which means that whatever HP gains you main see, they are generally small and only last while your car is cold. a much better investment would be a cold air intake, it costs a little more, but on the whole they are a much more reliable way to get more HP.

The only company i know sales cai for 99-02 corolla is elprototype,but other than that go to ebay for the sri,its cheaper.

and no one, from what i understand, has actually gotten one from them since then.

Im not sure how much hp/tq the fully built race engine stage 4,but most likely the stage 4 should give good hp/tq than the stock internals.
