a 5spd would be better, but 498 dollars is not bad for that shiftronic. I wonder if anyone has tried it.

Haha ya. Long story short, I thought this board was completely dead. Someone sent me a link to www.vvt-i.net. So I thought that was the new board. But www.offtopic.com is where I have been posting lately.

Yo mike, hows the civic treating you? Ive been hearing of problems with the 01-03 manual trannies. Hopefully you have no issues with yours.

Yeah, have you tried it? Why didn't you like it? There are some good things about auto trannys, and using the tiptronic deal might give you a little edge.

hey now if I could just get the shifter to look like da ones that come with cars with shiftronic systems that would be cool!
maybe I can take some parts from some other cars or something?

Well, the Civic did have transmission problems. The gear pack was replaced over christmas break. It now drives 100% better.

I have a friend who purchased one these kits for his Neon. For the money he spent, he could have built up his engine and seen better times.
