if the wheels shakes when you're braking then the rotor is warped...... if the wheel is shaking when you're driving, then there's something else wrong.... if you locked the tires up for long enough, you may have caused a flat spot on the tire, and that actually can cause slight shaking....

it's not good to lock up the tires..... you may want to go to a performance oriented driving school (for a day) with your car so you can learn to drive it well, safely, and less likely to cause an accident (and learn to control the car better). Sounds harsh what i said, but there are techniques for non ABS cars to NOT locking up the brakes and stopping much faster.

Sometimes you have no choice....in MOST cases you have no choice.

Sounds like maybe your rotors are causing the vibration. Also could be a CV joint.

    shakiness :p

well i had to brake pretty darn hard. i locked up my tires. :) which was pure awesome. anyway, after i had that almost near accident, my car and steering wheel shook like mad. well i got an alignment, balance, and rotation and all that good stuff. well i can still feel it shaking a bit. i can feel it in the seat and brake. i don't know what could be wrong other than the alignment, balance, and rotation. i thought i read somewhere, that the rotors could be causing it. Maybe i warped them or something? Also, the shaking slows down, when i slow down. speeds up when i speed up....i figure you got the idea.

So in final, my question is, what could be causing the shakiness.

    ~Peace~

You ground down a flat spot in the tire and until you replace the tires you are going to have the problem.

I know this because I have done this before and nothing fixed the vibration until I replaced the tires.

there are instances where you do need to brake quickly.... but a performance driving school will help you learn the car, and when you feel the wheels lock up you'll know how much to back off the brake so that you have traction while braking.... it's faster to brake without locking up the tires... along with you have steering, unlike when the tires are locked up
