    SD Memory Cards

So why are some SD Cards cheaper than others?

TigerDirect: 2 GBS, range from 40-120bucks.

They were the standard for a while and a lot of devices used them, but now microSD beginning to become a big standard, so prices on SD cards are dropping.

Yup. Also I think there is something with like read and write time. Look into that. Not sure if its the same across all of them.

I've seen the prices drop dramatically. I bought the XD card for my fuji at the begining of this year and i paid 90.00 for the 1GB card. My parents went to buy my sis a new digital camera and the price on the same card was 40.00!!!!!

I think it has to do with Black Friday. ALOT of places had them on sale for $20-40. I picked up a 2gb card from Staples for $40 I beleive. Since that sale, they bumped the prices back up much.

Yeah like I said, I THINK its the write speed or having the the write-locking switch.
