    Rumor about Applebees restaurant

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Applebees serve micorwave food. Their foods are pre-cook, all they do is re-heat from the microwave before they can serve to customer.

No wonder I get stomach ach from them.

I got this info from my friend and people who used to work at Applebees.

Seriously. If you like the food, dont think about what goes on behind the scenes. You may not want to know what goes on in almost all restaurants. Trust me I would know lol.

Along with EVERY fast food restaurant. Most "big box" restaurant chains do this.

I had lunch today at a restaraunt that does not even have a microwave. Buy a steak & cheese? It's cooked right there. :D

    Awesome food..

Well atleast they use industrial microwaves that are probably 5000 watts to cook it faster then you could at home :D

Just be happy its microwave food. It would be 100x worse if they were actually cooking it in the back.

when i worked at McD's back in high school, we'd cook the burgers, nuggets, etc and put them in a holding station that kept the food warm. Then when someone ordered something, we'd take it out, slap a bun on it and nuke it for like 30 seconds and out it went. It was rare that the food was cooked fresh. I think the fries were more fresh then the meats.

If it was getting cooked fresh think about the pots and pans that they never clean. Think about what kind of stuff is crawling around back there. Think about what kind of meats they use. Think about their quality control (food falling on ground and picking it back up). Alot more can go wrong if its actually cooked in the back.

Just because all that stuff happens at your dads Subways doenst mean it happens at high end restaurants:D Are you stating that every restaurant out there that cooks the food fresh is dirty, goes against all health codes, picks food up off the floor, and has bad quality meats?

When I used to work at Arby's everything was cooked in ovens or friers.

The only time we would nuke anything was if it was like a loaded baked potatoe that we had to melt the cheese on.

never heard of Rallys. But we sure do have a bunch of checkers here in VA. The best burgers I've had but are real greasy and are cooked in front of you are Five Guys. Best in the area!

They should devote an entire aisle in a grocery store to frozen microwavable restaurant entrees....I know my store has some from a few places such as Friday's, White Castle, etc...
