rubbing

    rubbing

    ok I have a 1998 toyota corolla wth 17inch drifz rims on it and I have kyb gr2 struts I want to lower it but the front tires rub when I turn the steering wheel all the way in either direction. what can I do to lover the car and rid of the rubing?

    i have a little rub noise when i crank the wheel ALL the way right, but never left.. happened on my 98 and on my 99 --- however the only time i do crank it that much its when im turning really sharp into a parking spot or navigating slowly... if i ever cranked my wheel that much driving, i'd prolly roll the bitch.

    yah I know I had 17 inch rs limited ricochet rims but they got bent so I bought some drifz rims the same size 17 inch same tires to and now it rubs

    it could be the offset, that could definatly make it rub. i have you all beat with rubbing right now. i have tein stechs with kyb gr2s and stock rims. i just got some free blizak snow tires that are like one size bigger than stock. they rub in the front when i turn all the way right and left. also either two or all four tires rub when i go over bumps, depending on how big they are. im going to roll my fenders which should fix it. it rubs a little on the plastic guard in the wheel well but im not worried about that since its just plastic.

    rolling the fenders is what really helped my problem... vamp has a diy on his page... vamp.darkravers.net i think... look for it there... i also used some spring spacers to lift the back up a bit... im not rubbing anymore...
