I would use port triggering instead... this means you don't need to have your computer set to a certain IP and from the router forwarded to a certain IP...

    ..........

    reset your router.

also forward ports 21&22 to your internal IP address in your router, and the FTP server should work fine. just make sure that people are trying to access the IP address of your external interface and not YOUR computer's ip (which should be liek 192.168.x.xxx).

obtain ip address is the same thing as dhcp, and if you are mapped to an external address....this might not be something that you are going to want. if you need to see what your public ip is: www.ipaddressworld.com.....that is if you have your static address, then you are going to have that all the time, but if you have dynamic address, then that is going to change every 3-4 days, depending on what the lease is from your isp

lol......yea, you're rite. i did that obtain ip address and it work \, but on my 2 computer that rout together, not when people trying to go on my site. i want people to go on my site. i did the port fowarding 21&22. do you mean my ip address from my ISP? or my router from my computer( 192.168.0.XXX)? how do i setup portfowarding from ISP? is that what u meant?

U have to look access your router and set it up from there, you really dont need to touch anything on your computer. u can aim me if you want and i canhelp u set it up, but u need to get teh user name and password for the router to access it first.
