I went to ikea when i bought some furniture and they had some loaned me $40 dollar racks. If you dont return them, they are yours to keep for $40. I think they are tight, but don't let them know you wont return them hehe. lol

heres a picture of my car last winter

unless you're hauling stuff and using it on a consistant basis, I wouldn't bother

I bought a Yakima rack for my car for a road trip and it does quite a bit to your fuel economy.

I've got Yakima on my 8th gen. They tend to be on the pricey side, depending on options, but very well made. I think I paid just about $200 for cross bars, fairing, q-towers and clips, and lock cores (still can be stolen though).

I tend to use them quite a bit and still surprised on how much they can hold. Transporting lumber, furniture, bikes, pipes, etc. Got one of those soft-top carriers with a metal wire basket to haul odd shaped stuff. Even moved a non-slate pool table (7ft barbox) once - not recommended though.

hahaha nah man, i am pretty sure u got to like buy something and than be like yo cant i borrow some roof racks to get it home?

you probably would have to show up in person and be like how much are ur roof rack rates. Idk they do it at my ikea in chicago.

But a thing u should know, they are like not easily usable for bike racks or shit like that. Like that ski rack i mounted, i had to make custom bindings to keep them attached to the rails. THEY are square rails, not circular.
