    Rod cap question

Hey umm..I lost a nut to the rod cap bearing and i'm sorta in a hurry, i tried to get another nut but, the parts store said that they won't be able to get it in for a few weeks cuz of special order. Well what would happen if i put just the one nut on and torque it just a little over specs, would it last or what would happen?

Yeah - NOT a good idea AT ALL!!!

You'll have a bearing cap and piston flying through the side of your block. Not to mention a system-wide drop in oil pressure. Bearing clearance is a huge deal when it comes to oil pressure.

    BAD BAD BAD idea!!!
