    roadtrip with sri...bad thing?

I just cut my cai and made it into a sri, i would have drive about 150 miles one way, a couple times a month, is it bad to have a sri and drive that far? Im worried about sucking in hot air for such a long period of time.

Also do car shops sell intake couplers serperatly?

No, it will not hurt anything. Put it on and drive your heart out!

You should be able to pick up a coupler locally. If not, I believe you can order them right from Injen, AEM, or TRD.

i ordered a coupler from AEM to put my intake back together after i cut it.... everyone in the area has 2 and a half or 3 inch couplers only... 2 3/4 is hard to find without ordering.

I just drove over 1000 miles on my new SR in the past 8 days, no problems at all. Drive it like you stole it

Not to mention - I forget who did the test - but someone on this forum installed a thermometer under the hood to test underhood temps. The only time the temp under the hood rises is @ idle. While driving, especially if it's on a freeway @ 60 or 70mph, underhood temps are fairly cool. The front end of our cars is pretty open and lets a lot of air pass through the engine bay. NO worries!
