Everything was normal. I even complemented her because she started first try. After 5 mins or so the engine died. I try to start it up and see a plume of white smoke. A couple of seconds later I hear drips of gasoline running down her carb. I think I over-revved her  or its just bad gas I bought from the shell down the road. Looks like I will be in the Lawnmower market. Thing is the weedwacker just gave in not too long ago. I should have seen this coming... She is at least 4 yrs old...

    RIP

Man, you need to take care of your mowers better. My parents have a Craftsman for the last 6 yrs and its still running strong, now the riding mower is a different story, 10 yrs old and gonna have retire her.

LOL true. I guess we could have taken better care of her. I did do an oil change on her once probably 4-6 months before. The next mower will be funded by me so I will surely take care of her. Change oil every 10miles, tire rotation every 1mile, plug and belts change at 15, and all that good stuff...

But on the serious note, I will read more about maintenance when I get the new one.

I think all I did was add oil when it gets low, and sharpen the blades. I did have to replace the pullstring but thats another story

We've got a Toro and that thing runs like a champ. And yes lower it lol. You'll have to cut the grass less frequently.

Hows the lifetime on the Toro mowers?

I never had to worry about the warranty because nothing has ever gone wrong lol. But from what I hear, they honor their lifetime warranty.

we had a two-stroke Toro pushmower for a long time. That thing got some crazy looks from the neighbors, and it was super fast, but it never let us down. The guy we gave it to still uses it. The only thing i didn't like was having to nearly jog with it on it's lowest speed setting. It was a pro model, so I assume those guys want to mow really quick.
