Engine Reseting ECU

    Reseting ECU

    Well i put new guages w/tach in today. Took the battery off, so how long does it take to reset? :confused:

    longest mine has ever taken was about 15 minutes... to this day i dont know why it took so long... lol typically is about 2-3 minutes.

    how do u know when ur ecu resetted? I usually just remove the ground for as long as it takes for me to do whatever the hell i'm doing..

    hehe ya know... the only way I knew was that the wideband was all wacky for a few minutes while the car tried to figure out what the fuck it was doing with the fuel map while i was driving... would run mad rich for about 5-10 minutes while driving then it would dip lean, go rich, dip lean, go rich and then it would hold at 14.5 after a while (while not boosting mind you)

    ahhh.. so after I pay $400+- for a wideband i'll be able to figure out too:D

    ROFLMAO... luckily I didn't pay for one... *however, i think im gonna get one* i share custody of one with someone... lol i help him with his car to use it.
