ya from clips ive heard and seen in person its very quiet. If you heard a borla exhaust before the TRD is just a little quieter than it. But either way ya TRD is a arm and a leg it costs way too much.

It is a lot louder than stock, but not as loud as fart cans out there. It gets loud up to 3K RPM's. Dude, everyone will notice you have a TRD muffler, beilieve me. I had it on my rolla, and recently sold it and went back to stock. I could not believe how much noise the thing makes, and also the vibration. Of course it is fun as hell when you are stopped and you press on the accelerator a little bit a couple of times, it makes a nice deep sound. You will feeel it and hear it while accelrating and less when cruising, and in no way is it like OEM. I also felt that the hotter the weather got, the louder it got, and while the engine is under load is when you feel it the most.

Anyway, make sure you get the CARB certificate since you live in CA.

thats odd, from what ive heard and seen in person, the thing is freakin quiet, it just has a soft rumble at idle, and moans quite a bit at higher rpms, but is barely audible when cruising at 45mph.. is it possible that TRD has different versions of 98-02 rolla mufflers?
