    Recomendations for a new HU?

Hey all, I've been looking at too many HUs and my mind is going crazy. What do you all recommend? I'm looking to spend up to* $450 or so and want a unit with 3 pre-outs (does it matter whether they're 4V or 5V???), CD changer controls, and AUX in capabilities. *"up to" means that I'd like to spend less but will go up to that if I feel the unit is worth it.

So let's hear some opinions and see if they can help me out :D

    Thanks a bunch!!!!!!!!!

I recommend anything by pioneer. However you do have to buy a $15 adapter for AUX.

Depends on what you want to run them to.

Some amps take 0.5V, some 2V, and others 4V+. Some amps like bigger voltage levels to boost S/N ratio - some case equals more bass, other cases equals more clipping and distortion. Better to get low level pre-outs and use a op-amps to boost it up (preamplifier) - usually the more expensive route. Going with a high pre-out level (assuming amp, EQ, etc. require the larger level) saves you extra work - easiest to wire solution.

go with kenwood excellons, I have their 25th anniversary edition, it has 2 yr warranty, aux input, 3 sets of pre-amp, has g-meter to measure your acceleration and cornering, really nice display, good functional buttons, over-all good quality.

I had a Panasonic that lasted me two cars and still worked like the day I bought it when I sold it with the Firebird. I couldn't give you the specifics anymore, but what I liked about it was it was simply to tune and it had all the features I needed.
    Which at the time included...
    AM/FM, CD, Sub-outs and a digital in.
