    Rear view mirror rattles

I have a 12" audiobahn sub and it's pretty powerful. The problem that I'm having is that my rear view mirror is causing alot of rattles. Has anyone else with big bass systems noticed this and if so, do you have any tips and tricks to correct this?

    Thanks!

haha ya, mine does it all the time, i got rattles in every corner of my car....what i do to solve this prob is turn it up so loud that i can't hear shit =P it works.

the other problem is, that the inside mirror shakes way tooo much, so u can't see anything behind you, at night, i just see circles of light (headlights of other cars)

you might wanna take off the mirror and try putting some of that teflon tape...i did that in my dad's car when his mirror was shaking too much...but too lazy to do it in my car.

I'd hate to have to take it apart. Usually when i take stuff apart it rattles even worse afterwards. :p

But I guess I need to try something..it's pretty annoying. I actually had put a ton of rubberbands around it and it helped for a little bit until the rubber stretched and it didn't work anymore..lol

haha nah get a good snug fit on there it shouldn't be too bad! just do it one step at a time, and try remembering how everything was fit! that's the best way to learn, to do it urself! i spent countless hours trying to figure stuff out on my own! sometimes the results are not soo good but who cares :p my car's old no one gives a sh!t haha

i got drilled holes, some that look awful but that's what junk yards are for :) replacement parts!

i actually popped my subs so had to reconfigure all my audio equipment =/ (horrible time in my life)

but now the rattles are back w/ new audio euqipment, but i went with sq instead of spl this time, so not as much rattle :)

All I did was take a thin toothpick, and stuck it between the mirror and the plastic around it. if done right, u can't notice the toothpick, and it works great.
