    Quick Question About JL 12W0

I am planning on getting some JL 12W0, but I was wondering if there's a different between the JL 12W0-4 and JL 12W0-8. The 4 and 8 stand for the different ohms, but on one I'm seeing that it has capabilities for 4 and 8 and on the other, it's just listed as 8 ohms. I'm buying one listed as a JL 12W0-8 and plan to find another one for my car before I get the box and amp. I just want to know if there's a different or are the subs the same? Don't wanna run two different subs in the same box off the same amp.

If I was you I would go ahead and get the 12w7 version, it kicks major butt. Makes kicker or any else a mouse to comparison.

The 4 ohm load subs are designed to be hooked up to amp either directly or u can bridge them to run them at 2 ohms to get more sound out of them. 8ohm speakers are designed to run in 3's so u can bridge them down to 2 or lower ohms to also get more sound.

If u're purchasing just one sub I would advise you to get the 4ohm sub. If you use just one 8ohm sub with an amp that say runs 200watts rms at 4ohms u're only gonna get around 100-150 watts running it at 8ohms.
