questions about xmradio in a corolla

I plan to get a 05 corolla sometime this year dont know when exactly. I would like to keep the oem radio system since it doesnt really sound too bad. Are there plans for toyota to put an xmradio option for corolla? Also, if I can get one off ebay is there a way to install a cd receiver from the scion xa or xb with the 6 disc and xmradio option into a 05 corolla? Just curious. Otherwise im just going to keep the pioneer 7600mp stereo I have right now. Thanks.

Some add-on recievers offer FM modulation to allow use with exsisting system (not sure of quality) If your Pioneer is XM ready you can get the XM reciever and antenna or I just recently saw a system that will mate with an XM ready Pioneer for about $50-100 less than OEM Pioneer XM reciever. You should also try to mount the antenna on the back deck inside the car (no drilling) (this location will depend on your surroundings, like buildings and such)

My friend got Sirus or XM or something put in his 00 Accord last summer.....anyways, after about 3-5 months he just stopped listening to it mainly cuz he said they kept playing the same songs over and over again and it started to get really annoying.....

Im kinda deciding that I probably should just keep my pioneer stereo and use it with xm. I was thinking of putting the xmreceiver unit right on top of the ecm where it it located. I was wondering if this would be safe and wouldnt cause any harm to the ecm. I also heard that the factory 2005 camry cd stereo is suppose to have xm capability. Wouldnt it be able to be installed in the corolla since both the camry and corolla stereos (in the 2005) are the same size? Id like to keep everything oem if possible.

Lemme know if you are looking to buy a pioneer XM receiver.. I brought it from crutchfields when my friend brought his deck to get a bit of a discount and combine shipping but I never found time to install it, now i'm debaiting rather to keep it or not..

still new in box, only thing you need is a antenna
