if he's up to the challenge, go for it. what i have found though with my 93 is that it is difficult to find all the components to add to balance the car out properly for a good look, i.e. it has a crazy long trunk, and the bottom halves of the bumpers and sides are black, so if you lower it without a body kit it's gonna look like cop car or a taxi :D

    Questions about a '93 Corolla!

Hey all, Corollas suck and you all are wasting your time.

Haha i'm just kidding. :D I currently own a 2005 Corolla XRS in black sand pearl, all stock except for remote start and 2-way pager system. My friend recently obtained a 1993 Corolla in white. Now it just sits cause he never got his licence yet (lazy at 19 lol) but it's sitting with a bunch of dirt on it in a garage. I told him if he made it nice he would like to drive it better.

What do you guys think? Nothing ricey or flashy and NO ALTEZZAS!!

    I was thinking:
    -rear windows tinted
    -smoked tail lights
    -Fog lights installed
-new wheels, some fat 5-spokes in maybe 15"-16" ?
    -MAYBE lowered?

I'm checking cardomain but most cars are too ricey. Anybody got any suggestions, or have examples of their own rides they can show me to show him for inspiration?
    Thanks! :)

tint, suspension, new wheels/tires. don't bother with taillight changes unless you swap up to the 97(i believe..) with the white turn signals. fogs are ok, but only if you can make them look integrated into the front somehow.

don't bother with smoking taillights - that just asks for a rearend collision. don't believe me? ask Vamp - he's been rearended TONS of times, thanks to people not being able to see his brake lights.

you can try doing what i did with the tails, buy dupli color for colored glass in red (its a clear coat with red tint) and paint over the amber turn signals, a well done paint job lasts for about 3 years of no chipping and no cracking

paint the drums in the back that really helps with the look

I'm riding on 14 inch Maxxims which look quite good not flashy or anything, I would go up 1 inch but its costly 14 inch rims cost about 200 bux for all 4

lowering is good but you need good springs and struts and that's like $450 expense

recently I put Eibach Sportline Springs and KYB gr2 struts on my rolla, looks great, rides great, total thing cost me $650 bux for parts and instalation

cheap DIY mods include: painting rear drums, painting side moldings and front grill

get a spoiler, OEM doesn't look bad, you can get OEM one from a camry which looks good too, or pretty much anything that doesn't stick over 3 - 4 inches from the trunk

Out of all the beautiful looks, I like this one the most because of how clean & simple it is! How much did it cost to do that, if you don't mind me asking? He doesn't need any big mods just curious about the wheels and whatnot.

im wiht Nocpan on redding out the amber, i did the same thing and it looks awesome, but i used Testors Candy Apple Red model paint(spray can) You can also debadge the rear, shave the rear center trunk piece

as for headlights and stuff, i got the ones off ebay, foglights are from uhhh...pepboys, lol, they only cost 30 bucks. i think turn the turnsignals into parking lights is a great mod, adds to the look of the car at night(convert it to use 1157 bulbs so it works as a turn signal and parking light) I also added some sidemarker lights to my fenders. Don't mind my front bumper, its new and not yet painted
