slicks? uh.. if he wants to do burnouts, slicks will not work. They will grip and make his car go zoom. hahaha.

If he wants to spin the tires so bad it's really simple. Tell him to go to the local pick a part and buy 2 mini spare wheels with tires. Those little things will spin like crazy if they're the drive wheels. hahaha

There is no "good" or "right" way to do a burn out. There's also no reason to do it. If you insist on it, get a manual tranny, keep it in gear with the clutch down, then dump the clutch.

auto's arn't designed to do a burn out, if he keeps wanting to do them he'll always have tranny problems. my only solutions for this is to get a manual tranny or slap a turbo kit on it the added power should make the tires squeel even with an auto tranny, he's not very swift kicking it from reverse to drive, what a way to break the teeth off the gears. i wouldn't recommend the n bombs either that's even worse than what he's doing to reverse.

you do burouts on an auto, say bye bye to your tranny in about a year. your first gear will be F*cked

The only semi-safe way is to do it naturally. Have the front wheels in a dip or in water or both, pull up the ebrake and floor it. Or if you have enough power, just do it off a stop. Why would someone want to do a burnout anyways? It ruins the wear on the tires and reduces the life of the engine and every other moving part that has to endure it. I'd rather burn rubber carving the canyons.
