KYB might be a little smoother for everyday driving but Tokico blues will handle better and will hold up better in the long run.

tokicos are only better if you want a stiff ride, i know alot of people on the site think they are uncomfortably stiff. it kinda all depends on preference.

The stiffness has more to do with the springs than the struts.

yeah but people with tokicos and s-techs said they switched to kybs and s techs because they were so stiff.

What exactly are you looking for, comfort or performance? What were you using before?

    Tokico's are performance struts.
    KYB's are premium struts.

I've install Tein S and tokicos on my buddy's ride, they are very comfortable and suited for everyday driving IMO. But if you ever do decide to do some racing, you'd definately need to upgrade.

Hey ShwRolla, what do you mean by your car goes all over the place? I've been planning to get some TEIN-S springs for my 02 rolla (same as 01) as they seem to be more available than the TRD springs (I don't seem them around anymore). I'll be using the S Techs on stock struts as well until I feel they need to be replaced (I have a car buddy to do the installations for me so I don't have to worry about having to do a double-job for springs and struts). Thanks.
