    Question on fixing paint

I have a 2003 corolla, black. I was trying to get some bug guts that I left on the car a little long off and I am afraid I have ruined the paint.

I am having a hard time removing the bugs and in the process I managed to scuff up the clear coat and in the sunlight you can tell where the scratches are.

Also, the little door things that are supposed to keep your door from hitting other cars, the glue melted and kind of ruined my skirt.

I was wondering if I should take it to the dealership? The paint looks like it boiled up a bit. The glue is now stained on there and is very noticeable if you look at it from a distance.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

take a pic and post it, i'm not sure i understand what you're talking about with the whole skirt and glue situation, but i've had a lot of dealing w/ paint and bugs. how did you get the bug off? it might not be as bad as you think.

If the car is a 2003, bring it to the dealer and make a big deal over how the glue stained the paint and how it's defective paint, im not sure if the warranty cover paint or moulding defects, but it's worth a shot to try and get it fixed for free...
